VRT 102 Virtual Reality Literacy

A study of the vocabulary and basic VR concepts related to virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and VR technical framework and hardware. Emphasis is on the levels of immersion in VR, 360 Video and Model-Based VR, and the three types of illusions. Focus is on VR applications and where VR is being integrated into various industries, used to enhance life, and academic training environments.

3 hours lecture and 2 hours of laboratory.

VRT 101 Foundations of Virtual Reality Instruction, or concurrent enrollment, and CIS 120 Introduction to Information Systems, or permission of instructor.
